work day!

today trev and I spent the day completing projects for school. I was working on welding a chair.... and it was the scariest thing I have ever done in my life.. so, I made Trevor do it for me! ha, I was probably not the best teacher, as I have only welded once, and I was screaming the whole time, (also I welded the pieces upside-down!) anyway Trevor picked it up in no time, and he fixed all my mistakes. Trev was also working on a birthday present for his papa, as well as making a few panels, for painting on! It was a very productive Saturday!

i didn't see that one coming...

I never thought that this would happen:

So i am getting ready to write a children's novel this summer. . . so i have been "doing research" i just finished The Mysterious Benedict Society series.. and im now into FableHaven. it sounds dorky just saying it. anyway today i went to the BYU bookstore to buy the last fablehaven book, secrets of the dragon sanctuary.. and as i was walking out of the bookstore back to work... I realized that there was a HUGE red sticker all across the front of the book... "LDS FAVORITE BOOK!!" woo hoo! haha I guess it doesn't get geekier than that. Reading mormon childrens books for fun. I am way too cool.

Summers near! ! !

A Huish Update::

okay so i cut my hair off... not quite as short but i'm just taking it in baby steps.

here's a lovely photo taken of me at work. . its not the best.. i will post more as soon as i take some.

So the Beehive Bazaar went well... the shelf did not fall over at least.

I am looking for a new job... boo.. i seem to have been un-hired from my current job. So keep your eyes open for a photography/craft/teaching/whatever job that would fit for me. haha if you aren't already looking for a job for yourselves...

I am taking full time spring classes (6 credit hours).. its been pretty intense so far..

Trev has been rakin' in big bucks lately... he's going gung-ho with the window cleaning stuff... he's gotten numerous side jobs, and is doing extremely well he's moving up the corporate window cleaning ladder quite quickly! haha. he recently received a mountain bike from my all-to-willing-to-give-away-his-old-bike-to-get-a-better-bike dad.. and has been riding around provo in all his gear. he seriously looks cool.. i will post a photo of him soon.

He has also been selling original paintings as well as hand made shelves on the infamous Etsy. You can see his stuff here!

anyway life is good for us huish's.. except that we miss our best friends {joshua+emma} who are out on tour right now..

i will post more soon!

::the nights events::

tonight was full of art:: we started the night off with the annual vending machine show at BYU.. we both had pieces for sale in the show, and we both purchased some art! I bought the one on the right from Jason Lanegan (the curator of the HFAC gallerys) and trevor bought the painting on the left done by a student at BYU, James Rees.... pretty cool i would say. then we went to olive garden to visit a friend and to eat some bread sticks...

and now we have been home painting and creating:: here is what we have been working on::

this painting is going to be on my new website, when you come to www.jessiehuish.com this is what will pop up, they are separate paintings... you will only see one at a time. but i love the way it turned out... I cant wait for the website to be up!

and this is what trevor has been working on, it is an assignment for school where you have to use 20 colors.
